Veterinarian

Dr. James C. Shea III

Dr. James Shea comes from a small mountain town in Northeastern Pennsylvania, where he grew up rescuing and caring for all types of animals. Dr. Shea received his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2013. He was then accepted into Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where he received his doctorate in 2019. Dr. Shea also completed his clinic year at Colorado State University's Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, Blues music, and hiking with his 3-legged dog, Caylee. As for medicine, he has a strong interest in the specialties of Ophthalmology and Dermatology. Dr. Shea strongly believes that treating patients effectively is not solely achieved by using medicine alone, but instead understanding individual behavior and applying integrative medicine as an adjunctive treatment when necessary.
